Yesterday early evening, Reagan was admitted to the NICU because she still wasn't breathing on her own. As you can see from the pictures, she has all kinds of tubes and wires stuck in her little body. They put an IV in for her to receive nourishment because she wouldn't take a bottle. She also has tubes in her nose providing her with oxygen. They had to increase the flow of oxygen from 3 to 4 because her lungs are quite stiff and not allowing her to take a deep breath. We got to hold her and spend time with her last night once I was able to get out of bed. Around 10 or so last night, the NICU doctor came in to tell us that they were going to put a tube down her throat to administer medication to help her breathe better.
He felt confident that this would help her.
This morning, we spent almost two hours with Reagan, and she seems to be making good progress. The medication they gave last night helped her alot. They were able to lower the oxygen level back down to 3, took the feeding tube out because she actually ate 6 cc's of formula, and the warmers on her bed were turned off! The nurse said she's doing really well, though she is getting a little jaundice. Also, while we were there, they lowered the oxygen from 3 to 2! Praise God! He's working in Reagan's little body!
The nurse practitioner said that three things have to happen before Reagan can go home:
1) She has to be breathing on her own
2) They have to be able to turn her bed warmers off - which is done!!!!!
3) She has to be eating on her own and gaining weight
Our baby girl still has a long road ahead, but we are so thankful to God for the progress that she's making. Please continue to pray that we'll be able to take Reagan home sooner rather than later and that God will do a miracle in her little body.

We are so glad to see and hear she is doing better today. We can't wait to see her and hold her. She is just beautiful. I love the one of her hands crossed. Heidi are you sure you just had a baby? You look great. God is doing a mighty work in her life.

Congratulations Justin and Heidi! Praise the Lord that she is making progress, I know he will continue to heal her little body! If he can form her in Heidi's womb he will continue to form her now :) Best of luck!
