Quick update - Wed, Aug. 27

Just a quick update and request for more prayer. Yesterday afternoon Reagan was running a fever even though she was not swaddled and her bed warmers were off. After a few hours, it went back down, but they did some lab work to determine if she has some kind of infection. They were going to repeat those same labs early this morning, and depending on the results, she could need to start a 7-day treatment of antibiotics. She's currently on some, but they may need to change them and keep her longer. If the results are good, however, she may only need to be here another couple of days.

She's been taking 10 cc's of formula every three hours from a bottle, which is great! They may give her a feeding tube if she doesn't continue to take that amount of formula, but she's been doing fairly well. I actually got to give her a bottle last night, and Justin and I shared the job of bathing her. It's so nice to start to feel a little bit like she's our baby and not someone else's.

We're going to go see her in just a few minutes and will update things when we get back. I have lots of pictures to upload, but I just want to go see my baby, so we'll do that around lunch time so you can see more of our sweet baby girl.

We are praying for good lab results. I am so glad you are getting to spend more time with your precious little girl. I can't wait to hold her in October. I know the Lord is doing a mighty work in her little body.

Love and Prayers,
Tara
