PLEASE PRAY!!!!

We just got back from visiting Reagan, and she's doing great! She's eating a ton and gets her last round of antibiotics tonight.

BUT, she still may not come home tomorrow! All week, the nurses told us that, if we were interested, we could take the infant CPR class but that it was not required. Well, apparently, the doctor's orders changed yesterday morning making it mandatory before Reagan can be discharged. The only problem is that the next class isn't until Tuesday night! Thankfully, after I burst into tears, they found someone who could teach a private class tomorrow morning for us.

The reason the doctor's orders changed is that Reagan had three events on Friday (which we knew about, but didn't see reason for concern) - at three different feedings, her heartrate dropped for a split second once each feeding. The occupational therapist who was watching her eat said that this is normal and is a pacing related issue as Reagan learns to eat. She also said that, more than likely, every baby experiences this, but the difference is that, because Reagan's on a monitor, we know about it. So, what we learned today is that our baby girl must be event free for 72 hours before she can leave. The good thing is that at 5:00 p.m. tomorrow, those 72 hours will be over. But, if she has one before then, she'll be in for a minimum of another 72 hours! So, things are very up in the air as far as when we'll be able to take her home. She also has her hearing screening tomorrow, which could change her discharge orders as well.
Please, please, please pray that everything continues as it has the past two days so that we can bring our baby girl home tomorrow!

See above how Ashton just wants to watch the other baby next to us?

Hi There! I had a busy week-end and did not have an opportunity to write until this morning (Monday). I pray that all went well in the class this morning and that Reagan did not have any episodes..... Praying that today is the day to come home.....
I loved the pictures of darling Reagan and of Ashton's BD....WOW! A drum set.....OH MY GOODNESS!!! Well, enough said there!!!! hahaha!
Perhaps Reagan will become a singer like her Aunt Gretchen or a pianist like her Nana. With all the musical talent in your family I am sure she has been gifted with something.....
OK, dear ones! I will look for a post soon and praying that you are home........

she sure is a good looking little girl - maybe that's why the hospital is keeping her...the nurses are fond of Reagan! Ha.

We're looking forward to getting glimpses at the personality God has crafted in li'l Reagan in the days ahead. As well as how Ashton takes to big brotherhood, and you both to "parents of a daughter."
