Reagan is still eating well and breathing well, which is a huge blessing! Her bilirubin levels doubled, though, since yesterday, so now she's under the lights to help her with that. So, that means we can only hold her at feeding times, but at least we can feed her! The doctor said today that Reagan definitely needs the full 7 day course of antibiotics, so that means she'll get her last dose on Sunday night. At this point, he said we can plan on taking her home on Monday morning, which we are anxiously awaiting!
My doctor wrote my discharge orders this morning, but he also said that we'd wait to hear when Reagan was going home - he's trying to come up with a reason to let us stay longer. My blood pressure is still up, even on the medication, so he may be able to keep me in for that. I'm not sure yet.
Thanks to all of you who have called, emailed, posted messages here or on Facebook - we love hearing from you! It's just hard to respond to everyone when we're trying to spend as much time as possible with our baby girl. But please know that it means the world to us to know that you care and are praying. And we'll do our best to be in touch when things start to settle down.

Thanks for the update and new set of pictures, too!! I love those booties......Reagan is darling! We need to make sure she is plenty well when she gets home so staying through the week-end is doable...I know it must be so difficult to be limited in your holding times.....but, again, we need the best for Reagan in order to get her home quickly.....
Still praying!!!!

that's all.
:)
That's great news! Monday definitely sounds doable. Heidi, I will pray your doctor can find a reason to keep you. I know you want to stay with your precious girl. I will also pray that your blood pressure goes down. I know you must be so stressed out. Wes and I are praying for you and Justin strength and peace beyond understanding. Also, we have asked the Lord to give you good rest so you can both stay strong.
Love and Prayers,
Wes and Tara
Heidi, Justin, Ashton and sweet baby Reagan:
We are so thankful for the blessing of your baby girl!! We praise God for her life and are grateful that His hand is on her. We are so happy that He has chosen to compliment Ashton with a baby sister! We're praying for you and for her quick growth, development and discharge from the hospital. Heidi, I pray that you will find peace as you leave the hospital but that you will be able to rest so you can be the Mommy she needs when she comes home! We love you!!!
and the great news is that you can go home and get settled, sleep through the night for a couple more evenings and be rested before she comes home!!
